PWT presents at the SIA Conference 2014 in Rouen (France)
PWT presents at the SIA Conference 2014 in Rouen (France) May 21-22 “The clean compression ignition engine of the future”. The research work carried out in collaboration with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is titled “Development and assessment of a Fully-physical 0D Fast Running Model of a E6 passenger car Diesel engine for ECU testing on a Hardware-in-the-loop system” and deals with the application of GT-POWER, a 1D simulation tool commonly used for engine performance prediction, in the control system development and testing domain as well. This represents a breakthrough in productivity as control engineers will be no more required to spend time and efforts in powertrain modeling, whereas the highly predictive engine models used for performance prediction will be re-used throughout the V-Cycle.
