PWT takes part at the SAE ICE 2017 (13th International Conference on Engines & Vehicles)
PWT will take part at the SAE ICE2017 Conference in Capri, 10th-14th September. A work by PWT and Wärtsilä will be presented during the Modeling and Simulation session, titled: “Experimental and Computational Investigation of a Quarter-Wave Resonator on a Large-Bore Marine Dual-Fuel Engine”. The collaboration between PWT and Wärtsilä has been in place for several years and led to the publication of several technical papers. This presentation, in particular, deals with the optimization via 1D simulation of a Lambda/4 resonator, designed to reduce the pressure pulsations inside the intake plenum of a 4-stroke large bore marine duel-fuel engine.
