📣 PWT proudly announces that our latest open access article “Development of a Virtual Methodology Based on Physical and Data-Driven Models to Optimize Engine Calibration” is now online (link below)!
In this work, we partnered with e3 – Engines Energy Environment and Modelway S.r.l. to transform the traditional engine calibration process: hybrid emission models, leveraging both physical and data-driven approaches, were developed to fully virtualize the calibration process of a Diesel engine.
The whole methodology was experimentally validated and a significant improvement in terms of BSFC and combustion noise was obtained via numerical optimization.
